One-Design Keelboat Racing
CHNYC holds fleet racing each Wednesday evening
from May through early October. Our fleet of 15
Rhodes 19s is superb - one of the largest in the
northeastern US. Our schedule is work and family
friendly. Competitor experience runs from first year
novices to those who have sailed together for 5 years
or more. Come join the fun!
Although CHNYC does not organize PHRF races, several of our members race each week
with local yacht clubs. Even more of our members take part in events throughout the
season such as the Newport Regatta, Jimmy Fund Regatta and Sail For Hope.

CHNYC provides race management, race committee
and judging for regattas throughout the season. Each
regatta is tailored to the specific requirements of the
organizing authority and sponsors. Whether you are a
competitor or want to  volunteer for race committee
duties, we will train you to sail with the best and enjoy
yourself.

The 6 Navy Shields race with Shields Fleet 9
throughout the season. Several of our club
members own a Shields and are national
champions.

Every Wednesday evening about 30 Shields
line up on the starting line and do some
